TOP Beauty : Empties review - Estee Lauder Cyber White EX Eye Creme

TOP Beauty : Empties review - Estee Lauder Cyber White EX Eye Creme

Eye cremes are one of those things which are really hard to test and tell you if it's effective or not, so it is always very hard for me to review. This estee lauder eye creme comes in a rather hard cream texture, very much like "餓羅立英" (i know that is not the correct word but it's what it's called.) For an eye creme, I don't find it extra soothing on the eyes, its just.. average if I must say. The whitening part is a little confusing too, cause with SPF 15+ you expect it to be a day eye cream, but when you talk to the staff counters they said there's only one in the whitening range and you should use it at night too cause that's when your body starts killing the pigments. Anyways, I did go through the whole jar with no problem, but was it a WOW and did it do a lot that I would repurchase? not really...

For me personally, I like the other Estee Lauder eye cremes than this one, I would much prefer to stick with the Advance Night Repair eye or the Advance Anti Wrinkle which I personally think is a lot better than this one.

Too bad! disappointment this time.

P.S.... I'm in London now, and really wanted to post big ben to continue the landmark scrapbook, but it's raining cats and dogs here, so we can forget about it.... but I will give you this....

SNOG!!!!!!

TOP Beauty : Only in Paris - Mavala Nail Polish Remove Pads

TOP Beauty : Only in Paris - Mavala Nail Polish Remove Pads

So, as you can tell from the title I am currently in Paris, and OBVIOUSLY I did a little drug store haul. Pharmacies are everywhere in Paris, actually all through Europe, just like our SaSa's in HK, but I always think Paris pharmacies has hidden gems more than anywhere in Europe.  Because I have family living in Paris, of course I asked them to take me to the ones which are the cheapest, has the most stock, and weird finds. So, my lovely cousin Ansly took me to City Pharma, which is a huge pharmacy packed with lots of people, young, old, hip, chic. you name it. I bought quite a lot there (very guilty right now) and I hope I would be good and keep posting about what I got, but here's what I tested yesterday.

Mavala, is a nail product specialist which I heard of before from reading other beauty blogs, but what really pushed me to get these was that I was desperate to remove the all the chipped Revelon Parfumerie Winter Mint which by the way has great lasting powers, it didn't start chipping after like the 10th day of my travel. Anyways, I actually saw these in Brussels first, and they were for sale for 11 euros in one pharmacy, and 7.9 euros in XX Paris, and I finally made the move to buy it at City Pharma when it was 5 euros. Now, I know the packaging is really granny and dull, but never judge a book by it's cover right....

So inside this little pot you have thirty very thin pads, they are not massively soaking wet and what you do is you use each piece and hold it for 2 seconds or so to remove nail polish. because the winter mint was a sparkly shimmery nail polish, it took me two pads to remove all the polish on both hands. I must say when i first used it I thought it was a little weird, cause it gives out this oil, but I think this has to do with it nourishing the nails and not stripping it off like crazy - it says acetone free on the package.

Overall, I am super impressed with this, and it's going to be great for travelling, but I will only buy it in Paris as its 5 euros here, and I think paying 7 or 11 euros for 30 removal pads is just too much. I am so going to stock up again today if I pass by city pharma again.

and of course, what is Paris without the Eifle tower?
in case you were wondering where City Pharma is, this is the address : - 26 rue du Four
75006 Paris Neighborhoods: Saint-Germain-Des-Prés, 6ème

TOP Beauty : Empties review - Clarins Cleansing Milk [Normal or dry skin]

TOP Beauty : Empties review - Clarins Cleansing Milk [Normal or dry skin]

First of all, apologies for being completely MIA this past month or so. With Christmas and New Years flying by,  I can't believe it is almost till the end of January. I have been travelling the whole month since the beginning of 2014, and right now I'm in Belgium. yep, the land of chocolate, oo-lala!! I hope that during the time I've been away,  you have seen our express beauty posts on our Girls on TOP Facebook page. and also checked out Zafran the new tapas bar in town review here.

Anyways, back to business. This year, I have made the resolution to try as many products as possible, and to burn down many products as possible. Meaning I have to be extra adventurous and also be a good and obedient skin care addict, and just that with it being an empties post will make you understand that it is good enough that I will use till the very last drop.

For a good 2 months or so, I have been using this Clarins Cleansing Milk with Alpine Herbs for Normal or dry skin. This product is a soft, gentle daily cleanser which is in a green milk form.. I know it sounds a bit weird that it's green but if you can by pass that, then it's fine. Like many other cleansing milk, this one is soft, delicate, and what I like the most is that it works quite well on irritated skin, and I find that it is quite a good product for winter months as it is not drying. What I do like about this product is that despite it's a 200ml bottle (some cleansing milk go way supersize nowadays), it doesn't run out quickly and you literally need one quirt each wash for the whole face.

Overall, I think this is a product definitely worth repurchasing when I run out of cleansing milk, but not one that I need it OMG right now. For daily wash, I would highly recommend people with normal to dry skin to use it, as it does a good decent job.
